Luckily a young, handsome, charismatic priest entered our church and started a folk group.

I learnt to play the guitar on the altar and our whole family practised twice a week with the rest of the group.

Lucky lucky us!

Later I became embarrassed about everything and then embarrassed about being embarrassed and would only tentitively open my mouth under special circumstances, always alert to the slightest criticism.

By the time I was 40 I was utterly fed up with holding myself back. I LOVE singing and I am ok at it and I’m going to do it!

I decided that I wasn’t going to stand in my own way anymore!!!

Since that day music has stayed in the FUN realm for me. Relaxed, being yourself, singing is a doorway to so many things!

Connection with others, co-creation, community, feel-good, a sense of personal power, sharing a communal language and love.

In our local community we have an ever-increasing family of musiciains. Spontaneous collaborations are made. I am part of several different groups of musicians, each doing different sorts of music.

People often say to me, “I wish I could just get up and sing without being afraid like you can”…so that is why I decided to offer these things 🙂

Enjoy!! Come and Sing with me!! We will have so much fun :))
